Dorotheans in the U.S.A. - The North American Province

 

The North American Province of the Sisters of St. Dorothy are located in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York and Texas.

• New York Convent - The Sisters of St. Dorothy are located on Staten Island, NY in the ArchDiocese of New York. The sisters own and operate an elementary school - The Academy of Saint Dorothy which serves grades Pre-K through Grade 8.  The sisters also do outreach at the local parishes and to the larger community around Staten Island.  They are a community of prayer and continue in the works of St. Paula with whom they come in contact with.

• Massachusetts - The Sisters of St. Dorothy are located in several places in Massachusetts.  You can find the sisters working at St. Ann's Hospital in Fall River and St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford.  The sisters are also ministering in Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Fall River.  They continue in the mission of St. Paula through the many works of mercy by visiting the sick and ministering to their families during these times.

• Rhode Island - The Sisters of St. Dorothy are also located in several places in Rhode Island in the Diocese of Providence.  Their mission and service to others can be found at St. Augustine Parish in North Providence, retreat work at their facility in Bristol, outreach through social media to former students and their families and the local parishes where they worship and come in daily contact with the larger community.

• Texas - The Sisters of St. Dorothy are located in South Texas, in the Diocese of Brownsville.  Their mission continues in the many works that they do.  Our sisters work in the following areas: Catholic Education, working with the poor in both Texas and Mexico and teaching English as a second language. This mission community was formed in 1984 to serve the poor.
